WELL POO!!

It's that time again folks.

The time where I randomly disappear for days - weeks at a time.

Don't leave me.

Don't break up...

I need the love and support.

You see, it is nearing tax season.

Those 10 weeks a year I work 56-60 hours a week.

Tasty on Thursday has gone away until April.

There is no way I can keep it going during tax season...

I just never know when I will have time to blog....

I have been having a hard time getting on to blog.

We have been dealing with a car issue.

The car she got here....

IT was a good car.

Like New!

But then things happened....

Had a little damage to the bumper and radiator.

We took it to the body shop.

They failed to fix the mechanical side properly.

The car kept over heating and they could never find the issue.

Finally WE as in me and my Hubs figured out the problem...

They fixed it.

But it was to late.

The engine was cracked from overheating to much!

They replaced the engine...

They knew their mistakes.

I drove loaner cars...

Kobi drove mine.

BUT I ASK YOU....

They couldn't fix a fan motor properly or find a problem with an engine for 3 months...

Would you trust them putting in an engine in your car?

Point was proven when we "got the car back again" last Wednesday.

The hood was not even on straight...

Causing it not to latch properly.

They bought the car.

They gave me more than I paid for it.

Then offered us several options at a very good price.

Trying to make things right...

We bought this....

A little Jeep Patriot.

NO MORE CAR DRAMA!!

You are taking your chances by going to a drive thru....

If you get pulled into one of these babies???

You are screwed.

PERIOD

IF ONE MORE PERSON OPENS MY OFFICE DOOR WITHOUT KNOCKING... I AM GOING TO SCREAM.

Seriously....

I am on my lunch hour.

This is my time.

Stop barging in to ask me questions.

On a good note.... the dealership...

The one that messed up my daughter's car???

They finally received a brand new engine to put in her car.

Now I can't decide if I want to sell the car and find her something else...

Or just keep it.

I am afraid it is going to be a continuous problem.

OH... I guess that is all I have...

Because well lunch is over...

Dear Weekend,

You Sucked.

I totally did not have the quiet at home weekend that I had longed for.

I wanted to clean out my cabinets, organize, de-clutter and deep clean.

Every OCD person's dream!

Didn't happen.

Saturday the Hubs and I took off to go eat lunch at a nearby casino....

We got up and was out the door by 9am on Saturday.

We got home only to turn around and leave again...

We didn't get home until 10:30ish that night.

Sunday was the day I ran errands...

And I actually had time to sweep and mop.

But that is it.

A weekend full of running around.

I hate having to go somewhere every stinking weekend...

Or having something to do.

I want to do NOTHING.

Just once.

OK?
Please?

I am letting a situation eat at me...

One that really shouldn't.

But it does.

Someone who is 18-19 years old.

Someone who has had a ROUGH life.

Like parents in jail...

Fostered out....

Sister the same age with 2 little kids...

You think she is doing great...

Then she makes a bad choice.

Now, I am not talking hair color bad choice...

Or... wore the wrong shoes bad choice.

I am talking shoplifting from a store in the mall.

Last night she posted pictures drinking in a bar/restaurant.

With a friend.

REALLY?

Stop saying oh my life is horrible...

Stop saying I am young and going to make mistakes.

She is totally going to end up in jail like many of her family members.

It sucks.

Those are not mistakes.

Those are STUPID choices PERIOD.

I really want take off work early today.

Go do the weekly grocery shopping...

Then barricade myself in the house.

Not leave the whole weekend.

Clean out and organize closets and cabinets.

Dump drawers out on the floor...

Just plain get it all together.

I am ready for Monday night.

It's bowling night.

YES I am a fruitcake who bowls.

We are going to be crowned MID League CHAMPS this Monday night.

There is no way we can loose our spot.

We ROCK.

Kobi's car is in the shop.

STILL

They can not find an engine for her car.

It's on them.

They are taking care of the bill.

BUT HELLO
We have not had a working car since end of SEPTEMBER.

I do like the jeep I am driving at their expense...

But I just want this all to be over!

Tax season.

It is almost here.

As soon as I blink...

I will loose 2.5 months of my life.

POOF out the door.

However, I will gain about 4 weeks paid time off.

OK....

I am done boring you with a long post and no pics.

The weather has been wonderful.

70 degrees during December? Yup I'll take it.

But I know the cold/snow is going to hit hard.

It's been a big hit at our place.

This Kobi and her Boyfriend....

We had just broken the game out of the wrapper....

He had never played before...

She lost.

The competitive side took over...

She didn't loose again.

While off on Christmas Break...

Kobi had time to be creative.

Not a good pic... but she does an awesome leopard print and can get pretty cool designs going.

I am not one for New Year's Resolutions....

BUT

I have decided....

I need to start drinking more ~~alcohol~~ water.

I even got an adorable glass to keep at work...

Hoping that would help.

LOL

I have got to stop drinking so much pop.

I was drinking at least 6-8 cans a day....

PLUS

If I grabbed lunch or breakfast out...

A cup full of pop got added in the mix.

Not to mention the occasional Big Gulps.

Happy 2012 Peeps!

Please don't hate or unfollow for my horrid bloggy buddy ways this past week.

I love ya....

It has just been a horrible ROUGH week.

Now we are slowly recovering from the weekend.

No hangover...

Just exhaustion.

5 day Stomach bug + Party at our place = A day of NOTHING!

Now.... Let's talk New Year's Eve and the people of Walmart that attended.

Seems there was alot of the stomach bug going around, family emergencies and upper respiratory infections.

Made for a small and low key turn out...

Maybe 20 this year.

Made lots of Goodies....

A people of walmart party is not complete without trash can punch and red solo cups...

We rocked in the new year with this fellow....

I have NO clue who invited him.

Silly party crasher...

We had a karaoke set up, thanks to my brother and his toys...

It was complete with strobe lights and all sorts of flashy light...

We decided no to the fog machine...

JoyKill... I know.

This was pretty much a group event, as NOBODY was drunk enough to sing alone....

AND

Some never even made it in to "group sing".

They stayed in the man cave watchin' sports and shooting pool.

Jasper seemed to enjoy himself...

He had NO CLUE the silliness we did to him...

The Hubs n I had fun planning out our costumes....

OH MY! Just totally realized he had a beer in both hands....

LOL

Something cool about having a New Year's Eve party at our place is that we always have friends over to celebrate our Anniversary.

Yup, January 1st.

So we never say Happy New Year...

It's always Happy Anniversary.

With New Years Eve Upon us....

I figured I would post a DIP.

We seem to have alot of DIPS at our parties...

Those ya eat...

and those that attend....

Chipotle Ranch Dip

1 Cup Mayo

1 Cup Sour Cream

2 1/2 tablespoons Dry Ranch Mix

3 diced Green Onions

1 clove minced garlic

1 chipotle pepper from a can, diced

1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice

Mix it all together and serve!
YUMMO!

You can also omit the mayo and use 2 cups sour cream....

add more chipotle to spice it up more....

from time to time....

I do like to tell you about

"STUFF"

that I like...

To start things off...

I have skin/allergy issues.

I can not tolerate using a regular laundry soap for very long.

We would use things like tide free & clear

and downy for a softener.

EXPENSIVE!!

ALSO

Those of you with front loading washers...

Have you ever noticed a FUNK smell

ya know... from your washer?

You have the leave the door open just a bit

so it doesn't mildew or mold.

I have now solved the problem of BOTH issues...

Thanks to this stuff...

This laundry soap is SUPER awesome.

You use 1 tablespoon of the powder in an HE washer.

So that means a $15 bag does 90 loads.

That is cheap.

The soap was originally made for diapers.

You can click here to go to their website.

Works great on all types of clothes also.

I even wash my delicates, sweaters, and some dry clean only with this stuff.

After a couple of months....

our clothes started looking new again.

This stuff does not build up on your clothes like normal

laundry soap and fabric softener.

Our towels once again absorb water...

Our clothes don't have a dingy fade to them.

At all!

This stuff also works great for taking out stains!

I have soaked out everything from Oklahoma RED mud... to blood.

Yes, I said soaked....

Not scrubbed...

To compliment the soap...

I use wool dryer balls.

These things speed up drying time.

I will say there is a static problem in the winter with these things...

with our towels and sheets,

we do throw in a dryer sheet here and there....

So, by using the Rockin' Green soap over the past year and a half...

My clothes stay new looking...

I don't get a rash and itchy....

My washer FUNK is gone...

My towels absorb....

I am saving money....

It's a WIN in all situations!!!

But Kobi and The Hubs are enjoying it, fo sho!
ALL I got out of it was this....I had to empty my scentsy closet.
Take out the shelving....
Then put it all back.
Just so the system could be installed.
The smart box is in the back of the closet...
And evidently .... you have to get to it...
UGH!
Darn ~~stupid~~ smart box.

My neighbors never cease to amaze me....
There was a little holiday funnies going on
over the weekend....

We have New Year's Eve to get ready for....

I have not recovered from Christmas though...

This week I have an oldy but goody chicken recipe...

Baked Bacon Chicken

8- Chicken breasts

8-16 slices of bacon

4- 10 3/4oz can of cream of mushroom

1-Cup sour cream

various seasonings

1- Wrap your CHICKEN breasts in bacon. It may take one of two peices... depending on the size of the breast.

2- Place in a shallow baking dish.

3-Mix soup and sour cream together and add seasoning. ( I use onion powder, garlic powder, season all, salt & pepper)

4-Pour mixture over the chicken and BAKE at 325 degrees for around 2 hours.

So the quality is not that great....

They are replacing her engine now.

She babysat for a neighbor last Saturday Night.

The best balls you will ever stick in your mouth.

Yes I really just said that.

Oreo Balls

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) package OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided

1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

2 (8 ounce) packages BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

Directions

1.Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use.

(Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.)

Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.

2.Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs OR use sprinkles

3.Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover balls, covered, in refrigerator.

I think we get Kobi's car back.

I totally hope.

I can't take it any more...

Her car was wrecked at the end of September.

There was mucho underneath damage.

Hers was in the shop getting fixed about the same time mine was...

Well, she can't drive a rental...

So she gets to drive my car...

*sigh*

NOT FAIR....

I had to drive this most of the time...

A little hatch back...

UGH.

ANYWHO....

We got Kobi's car back....

I stayed calm.

And they told me they appreciated my patience...

Each of the 5 times I took it back.

Last Friday, I turned in the rental and picked up her car...

They SWORE they had it right this time...

Kobi took off in her car to go babysit and I get the call...

MOM! My "sailboat light" is on....

(that is what she calls her light that shows it is overheating)

I went and gave her my car...

Brought hers back home.

I then called the dealership that is responsible/over for the

body shop that was "fixing" her car.

2 Entities that have "same name" but really work seperately.

I asked for the highest level of management that was present at the time

to be put on the phone.

I got the GM

My first words were...

I am sorry for the ass chewing your are about to receive...

I know you know nothing of this situation

AND
you are not the cause of this situation...

BUT

and then I let him have it.

It felt GOOD too!

The next morning...

I was not driving a rental...

I was driving this...

A brand new 2012 right off the lot.

I know this is going to make me sound like a total hick...

But did you know they don't use keys anymore?

Just a remote.

And a push button.

It has been an adjustment.

It is nice...

BUT

I want my car back.

The Hubs asked last night if I was ready for a new car now...

I told him no. I LOVE my car.

Kobi is having a hard time giving my car up...

She'll get over it...

It's mine...

I wonder if she has figured out that the GPS system is only on her car...

AND we have not been able to GPS her these last few weeks....

LOL

You know the funny thing is....

Even though this has been a pain in the patootie...

I would still take my car back to the same place to get it fix.

CRAZY I know...

30 Minutes Flat....

My darling daughter Kobi works 2 jobs.

She works at a Childcare Center during the week....

Then she works someplace else on the weekends.

This past week the Center was having the

Christmas Program

This meant Kobi had 30 minutes to

Get Home

Change Clothes

Primp

Eat

Get decorations & props up to the church 1 mile away....

We live only a couple of blocks away from the center.

Often times her friends that work there,

Use our house in a time crunch.

I get home from work about 4:30ish ---totally love flex time

I prepped for several kiddos.

Didn't know how many there would be.

Hot Dogs, Chili Dogs, Frito Chili Pie

Quick, Easy, Will feed many.

You remember the room looking like this?

Yup... It looked like this...

In NO TIME!!

It even spilled over into the bathroom....

They INHALED some food...

They said they didn't have time to sit down...

LOL

I was outside.... sneaking a picture in through the back door.

BUT

They did have time to take a couple group shots.

Fo Shore!

This week I am bringing to you a FAV of mine...

Ranch Chicken Wonton Cups

1 pkg wonton wrappers

3-4 chicken breasts, boiled and shredded (or to make it simple use precooked fajita chicken)

2 packages shredded taco cheese (I used sharp cheddar)

1 (16 fl oz) bottle Ranch Dressing
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder

4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon

green onion to taste, chopped

Preheat oven to 425F.

1. Line cupcake pan with wonton wrappers. Bake 3-4 minutes until edges are brown. Continue with all wrappers until they are complete. Arrange baked shells on cookie sheets.

2.In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken and entire bottle of ranch dressing. Add 1 tsp chili powder (can add more depending on your taste), garlic powder and bacon. Fill shells with chicken mixture and top with cheese and green onions.

3.Bake until cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes.

You could also put buffalo chicken in the wontons....

switch it up a bit...

2 packages of cream cheese

1 can of chicken (drained)

1/2 c Frank's red hot sauce

Or make your own mixture...

These little cups are so versatile

It's all Good....

Whoops I Did it Again!

OK, I totally slipped... Have not been posting to much lately.

SORRY!

It's been cah ray zeeee.

The Hubs is FINALLY back to work :)

The Moms are home...

Thanksgiving is over.....

But now, Kobi has taken on a second job.

Originally it was to pay for her MANY wants.

Her first job pays for 1/2 her gas and 1/2 her insurance.

She has nothing left after that...

It's a good thing she got a 2nd job when she did...

Ticket anyone?

OHHHH wait...

What's that?

2 tickets in one week?

$300 later

Maybe now she has figured out...

Don't speed.

PERIOD

EVER

With the 2nd job that means no sleeping in on the weekends

If I don't have to get up to make sure she is up and moving....

I hear her getting ready and wake up.

The COOL thing is...

she gets all the Starbucks she wants

FREE

AND a Target Discount....

I try not to talk sports.

Because it really ~~pisses me off~~ irritates me.

There is a difference between supporting your team...

AND trash talk.

I don't approve of trash talk.

This weekend was BEDLAM

We have friends from both sides.

We all know my Sooners SUCKED this year...

Hey, Baylor even beat us this year...

Well kind of....

Saturday we hosted a football party.

TOTAL FUN!

These were the HAPPY ones!

They come every year to our bedlam party.

I know they cheer for the wrong team and wear the wrong colors....

But we still love them!

One more O State fan in the house....

She was keeping EVERY sooner fan in line....

That is her Hubby.

He is going to be sporting an OSU cheerleader uniform to his favorite bar

with his BFF

Betting things can sometimes be BAD!!

Most OU fans just looked like this all night...

Notice my daughter in the back corner there...

She would DIE if she knew this picture was out there on the Internet somewhere....

That's what she gets for wearing an OSU shirt

in my house....

Funny thing is....

She was cheering for OU.

I think a good time was had be everyone....

ALL we did was make of the ridiculousness of the game

Over the weekend I tried a new crock pot recipe.

A total knock your socks off...

The kind when your eyes roll in the back of your head on the first bite

type of recipe.

WHITE CHILI

3 Chicken Breasts

2 4oz cans of chopped Green Chilis

2-3 cans of Chicken Broth

1 sm Onion (diced)

1 sm package of White Beans (I used Northern, some use Navy)

2 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Cayenne

First I boiled my Chicken on the stove with a bit of onion & garlic powder.

I also boiled the beans for about an hour on the stove.

When the chicken is cooked, Dice, then add to the crock pot.

Drain the beans and add those to the crock pot also....

Then add the remaining ingredients.

I let this simmer in the crock pot on high for 4-5 hours.

Made some corn bread and MMMMMMMMMMMMM

I really do suggest cornbread with this... they totally complement each other.

I survived!

Yippppeeee Skippyyyy!

Things are finally getting back to normal.

The Knee Replacement Moms are getting back to independent.

The Hubs goes back to work on Tuesday.

Thanksgiving is over, done, finished.

I did 100% of the cooking for 20-22 peeps.

No big deal.

Okay, so the Hubs deep fried 2 turkeys...

But I prepped and carved them.

This weekend the Fall decor came down and the Christmas went up!

I even got a few hours of do nothing time yesterday.

The tree has been put up & decorated....

Stockings are hung....

Just a little decor in the dining room....

I totally love this little tree. It's one of my Fav decorations...

Well.... this one may be also....

This tree was actually mine in my bedroom, as a child.

It's pretty cool and Fiber Optic...

LOL -Blast from the past!

It has clear strand throughout the tree and the tips light up and change colors.

It is actually pretty memorizing to watch.

We also were forced to switch cell phone carriers...

So this weekend, on black Friday...

The Hubs went and got us new phones.

Did not go with the Iphone.

We went with the Android - Samsung Galaxy S II.

I AM IN LOVE.

Well I am in love with it, except for the fact that I can NOT get my Angry Birds to transfer over.

Do you realize I had all 3 games complete with 3 stars on everything?!?!?!

Now back to square one.

I am not happy.

I am in love with the 8mp camera.

The camera totally takes awesome pics!

Taco Soup

My all time fravorite soup!

1 lb. ground beef

1 onion

1 can mexican rotel

1 can petite diced tomatoes

1 can chili beans

1 can pinto beans

1 can corn

1 package old el paso original taco seasoning

1 package Hidden Valley Ranch dressing Mix ( I use fiesta Ranch )

First dice the onion.

Brown the hamburger with the onion.

Drain any grease and place into a crockpot.

Add the remaining ingredients (do not drain) to the crockpot and simmer for at least 4 hours.

Then staying at our place until she heals...

I love my Mom...

But this is going to test my patience for sure.

She will be here until Thanksgiving Day.

My main computer is in the guest room.

The Hubs' Mom is going in for the same procedure...

Tuesday.

Thankfully she lives just a few miles away.

She will stay at home and we will be running back and forth...

To help with meals and her dogs.

Thanksgiving is at our place....

I cook for everyone...

It's just my thing.

I enjoy it

So far we are up to 18 attending.

Maybe 6 more coming....

Kobi's poor car did not get fixed correctly

and will have to go back in the shop

It's time again for Tasty on a Thursday!

Green Chili Cornbread

Ingredients:

2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix

1 onion, chopped

1 stick butter

1 small can green chili, drained

1/2 cup sour cream

2 eggs

1 can creamed corn

1/2 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled

2 cups mexi blend cheese

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a skillet saute chopped onion in butter till translucent. In a large bowl, combine Jiffy cornbread mix, onions and butter and 2 eggs. Mix together till all combined. Add in creamed corn, green chili's, sausage and cheese. Stir till well combined. Place in a well greased 9x13 pan and bake for 45 minutes or until done! Cut and serve with chili!

I don't want it to be rain.

NOW EARTHQUAKES?

We have relatives close to the epicenter...

Scary stuff!

We have only been shakin'... not stirred...

But for them...

It is the real SCHANIZZLE.

Then there is this....

She is my natural disaster within herself....

Well....

Shut the Front Door!

It's freakin Monday again!

I have 0 time as usual...

And have 10 million and 2 thoughts in my head...

We had a pretty nice couple of earthquakes this weekend.

Seriously ya'll

This is Oklahoma...

That schnizzle isn't supposed to happen here.

My In Laws and many relatives are within 5 miles of the epicenter.

TO CLOSE FOR COMFORT.

Color me crazy....

But give me a freaking tornado

any day.

We decided to go to the casino Saturday night.

There is one only 15 minutes away from us.

Serves as a good source of entertainment.

We were there when the earthquake happened.

I thought it was the bass from the

Spin Doctors Concert.

My machine was shaking violently...

I thought it was about to puke a

jackpot on me!

Dang the luck.

The time change has me all messed up.

Really... can we just leave things alone?

It would be nice.

My body is old....

Let's stop toying with

the sleep pattern.

Tonight is Monday.

IT'S BOWLING NIGHT!

Friday my Mom is having a knee replacement.

Whoah... This should be fun:)

A week later, my mother-in-law is have a knee replacement.

The HUBS is going on week 14 or something like that....

I don't see it ending anytime soon.

Things just still are not healed.

I am getting a new dishwasher.

Ours sucks butt right now.

Time to start totally stressing.

So I have this little fur baby....

He will be 14 years old on Dec 18th.

He is still spunky at times

He is blind now due to cataracts

And his teeth are all gone...

He is still just so sweet and loving.

Yes, he has the above issues...

But I don't feel he suffers in any way.

He follows me around every where I go...

He likes to snuggle under the blanket in his doggie bed that is by my computer....

When he is really tired....

He will go lay on our bed, with his scooby doo blanket.

Yesterday, this little guy surprised me though.... He has always been a "Momma's Dog"....

But yesterday...

When I got home and let him outside to do his business...

He came back up to the porch...

and went straight for the Hubs.

Then curled up on his lap while the Hubs was watching TV.

The little cheater....

I guess since the hubs hasn't been to work in over 13 weeks...

The fur boy is getting a little attached and spoiled.

He is going to be totally heart broken when it is time for the Hubs to go back to work!

Butterscotch Pumpkin Bars

Whatcha need:

•1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix

•1 egg

•8 tablespoons butter, melted

•1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

•1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin

•3 eggs

•1 teaspoon vanilla paste

•8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

•2 cups powdered sugar

•2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

•1 cup butterscotch chips

Whatcha do:

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2.Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Smoosh the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

3.To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice and butterscotch chips. Mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to over bake as the center should be a little mushy.

4.Serve with fresh whipped cream

So sorry...

It seems I have been everywhere but here lately...

I blame work.

When I am busy at work, I tend to work through my lunch hour....

Only stopping to inhale a quick 5-10 minute lunch.
Thus I have no lunch break to blog.

Tonight I have plans though...

One that involves trying to catch up and read every one's blogs...

Tomorrow night I will post the Tasty on Thursday post a little early, that way it will be easier to link up to on Thursday.

This year we were a little slow on the trick or treaters...

We only had around 132 cute little goblins.

Last year we had over 200.

I only know this because I give out Fun Dip.

They come in boxes of 50.

AND last year.

I ran out.

Some of the neighbors got creative on taking the kids around...

Hayride through the neighborhood...

4-wheeler style.

Kobi and her friend decided to be nerds this year.

Yes they are Jr's in high school...

and yes they still go trick or treating...

We even dressed up and went to a Halloween party....

I have shared this in the past.... but thought with Halloween right upon us...

I would share again.

A Yummy Treat I made over the weekend

Kitty Litter Cake!

What you will need:

A new Kitty Litter box and scoop

1 package Vanilla Cookies

2 packages Vanilla Pudding

1 Chocolate Cake Mix

1 White cake Mix

1 Package of Tootsie Rolls

Neon Turquoise Blue Food Coloring

How to Make:

First Bake the two cakes according to the package and dump them in the kitty litter pan.

While the cakes are baking, place the package of vanilla cookies in a ziplock bag and crumble into small pieces.

Once smashed place about 1/4 of the crumbles into a smaller ziplock bag and add the food coloring and shake around until they are coated good.

You will also want to make the two packages of pudding and chill it while the cakes are cooking.

Once the cakes are done and cooled, crumble them and mix them together in the kitty litter pan.

Then you will add the pudding in with the cake mixture. You will probably not need the whole two packages. You want the mixture to be moist and stick together just a bit.

Next stir most of your white crumbles into the mixture.

Now you will want to unwrap and place the tootsie rolls into the microwave and heat until they are pliable. You will then mold them to the shape of little turds and place on top of the cake mixture.

For the final touch, sprinkle the remaining cookie crumbles on top... then serve!

A YUMMY treat EVERYONE will LOVE!

Monday Funday

So another Monday evening has come and gone....

I have forgotten to take pictures.

AGAIN!

Silly ME!

Mondays used to be a total pain in the neck....

Now they are FUN...

But they are more of a pain in the arm.

A pain in the shoulder.

A pain in the thighs.

OOOOOOOOOOOO the thighs....

I can hardly walk today.

I joined the Bowling team

They were already in week 6....

After I bowled my first week...

We were tied for first place going into week7.

No pressure here.

I just only have not bowled in many years!

Like 8 years....

SHEESH!

To make things more exciting...

We bowled against the team we were tied with.

So....

Someone was going down...

There would be NO tie in week 7 for 1st place.

The games started out horrid....

But we pulled it off.

We won all 3 games.

This should get interesting.

It is that time of year.

The time for me to start my decorating.

What is your FAV holiday to decorate for?

My house stays decorated for one season or another from October all the way until New Years Eve.

This year... I have been a little slow at things.

OK WAY SLOW!

But I have gotten some of the decorations out.

Why is it - there are just not enough hours in the day?

The Hub's Grandma painted some decorations that get the mantle every year

Day of Rest....

Isn't Sunday supposed to be "the day of rest".

Whatevs!

I know it as the day to run around and try to get all the things done that you have been putting off all week.

First - Rolled out of bed and made breakfast

I can say I did sleep in(9:30), but, I needed it.

Next on the list was grocery store.

BLECH!

Then I started in the kitchen....

Cleaned fridge & pantry out...

Started marinating the meat for dinner tonight...

Started dinner for yesterday...

I must say this time the recipe was way better.

Yeah for organization...

I moved the fall stuff up and put the summer stuff toward the bottom.

We will see how long it takes before I screw it all up again...

Earlier in the week, a friend of mine expressed concern on facebook that she needed one more for her team on her women's bowling league. I hit her with 10 million and one questions.

I used to bowl on a league and it was FUN!

I think my friend Kerri and I were the youngest in the league.

Anyhow....

I told her IF I could find my ball and shoes.... I would help her out and join her team.

It took me a while, but I found them in my closet...

We had another wreck to deal with over the weekend.

We were out in the driveway the other evening...

Doing what we do...

Visiting with our neighbors.

One of the neighbors kind of gasped...

Then slowly muttered

OHHHH MYYYY GGAAUUUUDDDDDD!

Seeing the look on her face, I quickly turned around to spot this...

That thing was HUGE!

Of course I took a pic and posted it to my facebook wall....

The conversation went something like this...

When it rains, I think people forget their brains when driving.

I promise it's just rain.

I know we have not seen much of it lately, but seriously, it's just rain.

You don't have to drive 10 miles an hour under the speed limit...

It's just rain!

However, you do need to pay attention...

When the light is red and there are 10 cars setting at it...

You can NOT push them all out of your way.

It is in your best interest to stop or your car may end up like this...

Yeah - That is not my car, but it is the car that hit me Thursday morning.

Thus, that is why I have been skipping out on blog land for the last few days...

I am ok and my car held up very well! Only a few scratches on my bumper and trunk.

Before I go... I noticed I do have some new followers...

I have reached 65...

Therefore, I will be doing a give-a-way.

Zeppelin Time

Yesterday, the Hubs and I were watching the news and they were talking about Zeppelin making an appearance at one of the airports just a couple miles from us....

What did we do? We looked at each other and then both jumped in the jeep and took off to see if we could sneak a peek.

SCORE!

No, this isn't a blimp.... this is a zeppelin and it just happens to be the largest there is!

First we just kind of drove around watching this thing.... Then we decided to head to the airport to watch it land.

Several others had the same idea. To bad I wasn't smart enough to grab my camera.... so I just have phone pictures.

As we were leaving, we kind of actually got a better view from the jeep...

Dip Head

This past weekend I made new items to munch on during the football game. I must say this one was the biggest hit....

Buffalo Chicken Dip or Wrap

1pk of cream cheese

112.5 oz can of drained chicken

1/2 pk of dry ranch dressing/dip mix

1/3 cup Louisiana Hot Sauce

I actually tripled the recipe and used 2 packages of the dressing mix this time and it was great also.

First soften the cream cheese in a large bowl in the microwave. Next mix all the ingredients together.

How easy!

If you like things SUPER hot use1/2 cup hot sauce... if you like things kind of hot... use 1/4 hot sauce. My suggestion is to add some hot sauce, try it... and keep adding more until it has the correct hot factor for you.

We ate this dip on corn chips, we ate this dip on crackers....

The guys even ate this dip wrapped in leafs of romaine lettuce!

It was some GOOD stuff!

Friday Confessional

I confess....
I am freaking tired this morning. No matter how hard I try... I always end up in bed about 2 hours later than I want to. Damn Angry birds.... It's all their fault.

I am not wanting the temps here in Oklahoma to climb back up into the 80's and 90's next week. It was a wonderful 57 yesterday and that called for a pot of chili and some Frito Chili Pie.

Getting up in the mornings is getting harder and harder. The hubs is still home on short term disability due to his foot surgery. He will be having hand surgery soon. It's so hard to get up when you have someone laying there still sleeping....

I am totally ready for the weekend and having time to make a BIG scentsy order of all the new fall & winter items. Time for an open house! I also am going to finish "cleaning up" the blog page... it's a bit under construction at this time. I took out my recipe drop boxes and placed the recipes in a tab up top. I hope everyone can still find them!

Garlic Cheese Dip

First off, I have to say sorry for the rudeness. Work/Life has been hectic and I have NOT been a good bloggy friend lately.

I recently did a giveaway for reaching 55 followers. I have decided that every time I get 10 more followers, I will do some sort of giveaway. SO, when I hit 65.... I will do another fun give away.

SO, on with the main event. It's Fall & Football time. Who doesn't love a good cheese dip?

Everyone, well most NORMAL person, loves velveeta cheese dip. Here is a new variation that I found. Trust me, you really want to try this out!!

1 (10 ounce) container Savory Garlic Cooking Creme

2 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese

8 ounces Velveeta, cubed

1/2 pound thick cut bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

1/4 cup beer

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 green onions, chopped

Place cooking creme, sharp cheese and velveeta into a crock-pot. Pour in beer. Top with bacon and onions. Cook on low and stir frequently to combine and melt. Serve with pretzel chips or corn chips!

*Sometimes instead of the red pepper flakes & green onions, I will throw in a can of mexican rotel.

Ever have one of those ~~days~~ weeks...

The last ~~few days have~~ week has been a bit much for me between work and life in general.

Last night I get this phone call:

K:Moommmiiieeeeeee?

M:Yes Kobi?

K:(sobbing)Can you come get me?

M:Why?

K:I wrecked my car and I am scared to drive home.

Not something you want to hear. But all is just fine. Not even a fender bender... just a let's exchange paint situation. There was a girl in front of my daughter at a red light.... Light turned green, she(girl in front) took off, phone rang, dropped phone and hit brakes picking it up.... Kobi did not react fast enough and hit her.

Work has been super dooper busy lately. I couldn't find a clip or a bobby pin in my purse the other day. So I used a paper clip.

I totally forgot to take it out before I left for home. Of course the elevator stopped on each floor to pick up another person. Nobody commented on it though...

Totally remembered it once I was in the car.... Totally a trend setter....

My neighbor has a new set of twins....

I don't care for them though.

We had to demonstrate.

I have decided, planking is not for those with a larger chest. - You can never really get flat!

Beef Enchiladas

Because I have not posted one of my recipes in a while...

What you need:1 lb hamburger
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg flour tortillas (soft taco size)
1/2 cup water
1 lb Velveeta cheese
1 can rotel
1 can refried beans
2 cans enchilada sauce
1 onion (chopped)
1 pkg grated cheddar cheese

Instructions
1. Brown hamburger and 1/2 of the chopped onion in a skillet.
2. Drain grease, add taco seasoning and water.
3. Simmer until the mixture thickens.
4. In a microwave dish, put chopped Velveeta cheese and rotel and heat until Velveeta is completely melted into cheese sauce.
5. In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat refried beans.
6. Take tortilla and spoon refried beans over the middle. Spoon meat mixture over the beans. Spoon cheese sauce over meat.
7. Roll tortilla up and place in a greased baking pan. Repeat process as long as meat, bean and cheese mixtures exist.
8. Pour enchilada sauce over rolled tortillas making sure to cover all of the tortilla. Place grated cheese over the top of the tortillas.
9. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Working full time at a stressful job, then come home to cook and have to deal with moving entire rooms around. I am just wore smooth out!

I can say all 3 bedrooms are now sporting new wood laminate.

(did I mention the hubs just started this on Monday?)

Kobi expressed she would like her room purple....

Why Wait?

Where we live, trying to get anything done at the driving testing center is
CA CA CA RAYZEEEE!

Let me set the scene for you....

Line up at 6am at the door.

7am - You would think it was black Friday and they had $2 I Pads.... Everyone rushes in and tries to grab a number.

8am- They finally start calling people back. Line usually moves about the average 1 person every 10-15 minutes.

So you could be there for some time. 11am is the earliest I have ever been able to talk to someone there... Folks, that is like a 5 hour wait. Then if you want to take your driving test? Who knows if they will have any slots open that day. OH, and pray it doesn't start raining, because they do not test in the rain.(understandable) Or you could wait 5 hours to make an appointment to come back.... in 2 weeks.

Seriously, do you think I would make someone who is ready to get their license wait that long? You can not schedule the time... until they are eligible to set for the test.

SO- We got up and drove to my old stomping grounds....

Kobi did this....

We got to Enid and walked in the testing center a little after 9am. Guess what? There was NO BODY there!!! We walked up and she went and drove.

Yup - She passed with a 91!

He said that was his first score in the 90's in about a month....

YEAH! -LOOK OUT WORLD!!

Do you ever just wish time would STOP or maybe just slow down a little?

We have so many things going on... It is total INSANITY I tell ya!

Because I never have enough to do, I decided to tear out a flower bed in the front yard and use the bricks to make a cool fire pit on the deck. It was LATE by the time I got done.

We purchased this stuff.....

I can not tell you how happy I am. We He is doing all 3 bedrooms while recovering from his surgery.

We also had a Birthday thing going on yesterday.... Someone turned 16.

We go tomorrow to take "THE DRIVING TEST" - UGH!

Remember when I swore this was the last time I was redecorating Kobi's room? Well poooo she wants something else! I was thinking that not even a year had past and how dare she! Opppssss I guess it was in 09 and not 10. Got the blog post as proof. SO this week we are turning the white into purple. At least it isn't something major. But The hubs said that I HAVE to get it done before he puts in the new floors.

POOP.

Crickety Parts and Old Lady Farts

Nobody every said growing old was easy. Every waking day there is another part of your body that starts to get crickety. Just getting out of bed, you start to sound like a bowl of rice krispie treats.... snap, crackle and pop. I think my knees are about the worst part- thanks to playing basketball.

I have talked to the doctor.... really he says, that is normal... welcome to a normal part of aging. Thanks Doc! I don't need you poking fun at me getting older. Anyhow, sound with no pain is fine.

The ol' body doesn't seem to want to stop there either... have you ever noticed how older people have no control over certain bodily functions? Have you ever been behind that elderly person that toots every time they take a step? Or even better, when out in public and you HAVE to do the unthinkable and use a public potty....*GAG* The elderly I swear they can't pee without letting that toot slip out first. I used to think it was funny.

Not No More....

Sometimes at work I actually get to sit behind my desk for a while... I am not going to lie... When I do get up to do something, I am stiff and the crickety parts start singing their song. So, here I go snap, cracklin' and popping all the way to the restroom. It was rather chilly in the office and my knees were pretty stiff, then add those wonderful heels. I finally get into the stall and turn to sit, I strained enough trying to cop a squat... out came that old lady fart. Thank GOODNESS nobody else was in there at the time.

I am getting old.

But not to old that I can't remember to flush the toilet now every time before I cop a squat..... the flushing noise drowns everything out...

I am totally not a TV watcher. Every once in a while, I will sit down and watch, but, definitely not that often. Well, with one exception.

This year has been good. I do not subscribe to the live feeds, but I have a website that I read what is going on in the house 24-7. It is always interesting to see what is REALLY going on and not edited by CBS. The bad thing is, you find out what happens in the house early and so the shows on Sunday and Wednesday are not surprising…. You already know the outcome.

Anyhow, here are my thoughts on the remaining players…..

I love Jeff & Jordan. Some say Jeff is a controlling maniac and is mean to Jordan…. I really don’t think so. I love watching Jeff & Jordan together, they are just ADORABLE.

Now Brendon & Rachel…. They have got to go. Seriously. I used to want them in the house, to help further Jeff & Jordan of course…. But not anymore. Jeff & Jordan helped Rachel while Brendon was gone… But Rachel is telling Brendon how horrible they were to her? SERIOUSLY! Just can’t stand those two anymore.

Danielle. She makes my blood boil. I used to like her, but not so much now. Dani and Kalia for that fact – Yep – fo shore got to go.

Porsche – Why is she still in the house? Really? What does she do? OOOOO that’s right, she is a friend of Janelle’s from a previous season. Get her out of the house already. I am tired of seeing her float to whatever side has the power for the week.

Adam – pretty much a floater…. HOWEVER… he has stepped up and almost won a few competitions. He may manage to float on up to the top.

Shelly… I like Shelly. But I think they keep her around, only because she does all the house work. Every morning, Momma gets up and cleans house. She seems to be with Jeff & Jordan… but you just really can’t tell.

There is never enough time in the day to do everything I want to do....

This week has been CRAZY busy.

This is how my week started off....

The Hubs had a couple of things taken care of with his foot. In a few weeks, it will be carpel tunnel surgery...

Kobi also had enrollment this week. Two days of it. This year the students will be starting school in "The just completed 82-million dollar project gives the Millers a brand new 110 acre, 35,000 square foot school as well as the football stadium that includes a double-decker press box and a two-story wellness center." Her school is now supposed to be the most state of the art school in the state. We toured the school... found her morning classes. The school is super nice, but man, it is huge! They are going to have some lost students... Of course, Kobi's classes are where she is going to have to go all the way across campus for each class.... and switch from upstairs to down stairs each time.

The next day Kobi had a second enrollment.... She will be attending Vo-Tech/College. She will be starting college at the age of 15. CRAZINESS! She is wanting to go into special education. The classes she is taking at the Vo-Tech will count not only as her High School Credits, but they will also count as College credits.... SO, by the time she finishes High School, She will be a Soph. in college.

For Kobi's 16th birthday, I was going to let her get her belly button pierced. I decided we better get it done now, so it has time to heal before school started....

And for not crying.... she even got a sucker when she was done.

As crazy as the week has been , the most awesome thing has been the temps......

Seriously, 40 degrees cooler than last week. I was actually able to wear jeans all day long. Soooooo NICE!

Yes.... I live ~~on the sun~~ in Oklahoma - well at least I thought I did.... as you have probably heard.... there are record breaking temps here this year.

It’s so hot…

The robins are laying their eggs sunny side up.

All the water buffalo at the zoo have evaporated.

the trees are whistling' for the dogs.

It's so hot, I saw squirrels fanning their nuts.

the birds had to pick up the worms with potholders.

I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walkin'

Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs.

Yesterday, I got 5 minutes of rain on the way home. Mother Nature is the biggest tease alive!

The pool is even to warm to swim in.... It feels like luke warm bath water.

I guess this is what I get for complaining about a little ol' blizzard about 6 months ago!

So, while eating lunch one day, I was in a pinch and decided to make a run for the border and stopped at Taco Bell. I rarely eat here. I was an Asst. Manager at one for 3 years while in college. I do not care for the way they prep their food. BUT, still from time to time, I do eat it.

On this particular day, I ordered a couple of items but got a TON of sauce. Since when did their sauce packets become so ummmmm "saucy".

What does ^^^^^THAT have to do with taco sauce?

Seriously?? I guess my mind is warped and in the gutter.... because I am snickering like a jr high kid here....

*eyeroll* These could actually be a lame man's pick up lines at 1am at a bar...
