We took a mini vacation and got away.

Kind of exciting...

Kind of WHOAH...

Exhausted.

I have come to realize.

I am freakin' old.

I gotta slow down.

I get so worn out!

This was the view from our back patio....

each morning.

We put the boys in a chair and left them there so we could shop.

We also gave kayaking a try.

LOVED IT!

Once we got home...

The dog did nothing but lay on the mama...

for several hours.

I could not move.

One of the best things over vacation...

I found these babies....

PURE AWESOMENESS!

I have now become an alcoholic due to these girls....

I have drank over a case of them ...

Since finding them....

*yum*

Kobi IS STILL SICK.

yes I said still sick.

Here she is.... getting ready for a scope of her vocal chords.

She now has a massive build up of fluids on her vocal chords....

due to severe acid/gas backflow from her stomach up into her vocal box.

SWEET!
NOT!

I am getting so pissed off because I can't get her into a pediatric gastro until September.

In the meantime, the problem she started with back in JUNE is causing more issues.

The steroids did not really help the fluids to go away...

Maybe because there is still a source causing the problem...

That has not been fixed.

DUH!

She is facing surgery on her vocal chords to release the fluids....

Her voice is most likely always going to be different

than before all this.

We do have a barium swallow test on Wednesday.

Only because I BEGGED the ENT to get one set up ASAP.

This past weekend, did a little blogger meet up....

Alcohol was involved.

No Lie....

(PS: Brandy... I totally drank half the bottle of whipped cream schmirnoff stuff the next day)

The weekend was wrapped up with a trip to my fave steak place/dive bar.

I also decided WHAT I wanted to do for the big 40 that is coming up....

We made reservations here.

and why wasn't I told sooner?

Kids are going...

They can hang in the pool...

while Mommy and Daddy drink and gamble and partay in Gilleys.

Hey no judging....

They are 16+

It's not like they want to hang with "the rents" any how....

We have other friends booking rooms for the one night also....

Went and took a little trip this weekend...

Got my hair did.

No more "Rod Stewart" look for me!

 I am totally a creature of habit...

Every evening.... I soak here...

decided since I may be hanging in the pool...

It was time to clean up and get rid of the scruff down below.

Kobi: Yes... Justin is stuck at the soccer field with a dead battery.

Me: It's 11pm, does he need our help?

Kobi: No he is somewhere with the coach getting a new battery.

Me: OK... can I have my privacy back please.

Kobi: Sure....

OH yesh... shaving the scruff.

Hubs: I gotta go pee...

Me: Seriously? We have another bathroom....

Hubs: Kobi's in it.

Every Morning....

When I step into the elevator at work.

I think of that show.

and the full 360 mirror.

Our elevators are all mirrors...

Yes I am wearing my cheap arse $2 necklace again today.

So yes we are leaving for a 4 day mini vacation.

I was totally going to leave my child home alone.

Until she got sick...

(NOW Meme is staying with her and she is not a happy camper)

I laugh

her main purpose was to stay and work

and attend her college classes...

and take care of the OLDER THAN DIRT, blind, toothless, but can still hear fur baby.

14 years and 7 months next week.

He just sleeps now....

and roams in circles around the house trying to find me.

As long as he is beside me...

ALL is fine.

I had a dream...

He is going to die while we are on vacation.

With that dream....

I have now given instructions to my child on how to wrap him and store him in the freezer until we return home.

He would need a proper burial of course in the back yard....

Hair it Is

Have you ever had one of those days....

one of those Mondays...

You just want to beat your head against the wall?

I have been having issues lately.

Or more like my child has...

I have not had time to drive up to see my niece

and get my hair done.

Yesterday at work....

One of my bosses

(and yes it was truely innocent)

asked me how I did my two tone look

it was so cool... like Rod Stewart used to have his hair.

oh yes he did.

Things wouldn't have been so bad probably if I would have went along with him and his Rod Stewart crack...

But I couldn't. I told him it's called a white trash color job...

Told him it would be fixed this weekend when I FINALLY had time.

But he brought up hair like 2 more times that day.

I am so over the weekend...

Or what ever that crazy holiday week/weekend poo was...

Holidays in the middle of the week just really screw things up.

I actually worked on Thursday, but ran out of work so I stayed home on Friday..

Three day weekend anyone?

What made things really awesome...

The hubs was off on Thursday...

Friday, we took a road trip to our bank...

Got some stuff straightened out...

Stopped to eat and spotted this gem on our table.

We joined some friends and their family for a little 4th of July celebration...

A few days late.

But worth the wait.

There was even a live band....

This is a far off look...

I didn't get any closer because the fireworks were going off between the band and I.

He sung over in the barn all night long....

Poor Kobi... She is figuring out what she can and can not eat....

Although she was Trying to be healthy by drinking fruit juice and gatorade...

She didn't eat alot of protien or carbs...

Just fruits n veggies....

Totally made her sleepy

On a good note.

We got an appointment with the endocrinologist on the 18th.

WOOT WOOT

OH wait. that is the day we leave for vacation.

I called to see if we could reschedule.

They said sure ....

in September.

OK... So here is a brief run down on

the the crazy stuff...

----Kobi... last post you saw her here....

Well we have been back to the doctor... again and again and again.....

and again....

We are waiting on an appointment STILL to a pediatric gastro doctor.

She has stomach & throat issues.

After all the test resultss came back....

 we are also waiting to see a pediatric endocronologist for a low producing thyroid and hypoglaucemia.

JOY!

HAPPINESS!

*sigh*

----Our neighbors got a new pet.... cupcake.

Sounds so cuddly and soft.

Right?

Not.

----The baby birds came back to talk to me....

they sat on the back fence....

Just call me the crazy cat bird lady.

it's ok

-----We have other critters too...

in our back yard...

-----I have still been using this alot....

----I have totally been spending all my free time with this baby....

----We leave for vacation soon.  An ADULT ONLY vacation.
